In the Netherlands we have many different political parties you can vote for in your municipality. It depends on the city you live in, which parties take part in the elections.
Our Dutch Party Comparisons show the most important differences and similarities between GroenLinks and other leftist and progressive political parties: PvdA, SP, D66, Volt, BIJ1, ChristenUnie, and Partij voor de Dieren. These differences and similarities are true for the national parties as well as most of the local chapters.GroenLinks stands for an inclusive, fair and sustainable municipality. Our name stands for green as well as left-wing: a sustainable future can’t exist without fair policies. We take responsibility and govern in almost all larger cities in The Netherlands.
We believe it’s important to work together in politics. GroenLinks prefers to work together with other leftist and progressive parties. We largely agree with the plans that Partij voor de Dieren, D66, PvdA and ChristenUnie have in terms of climate. On social and economic levels, we like to work together with the PvdA, BIJ1 and the SP, and have done so successfully in the past. At the same time, there are difference between us and other parties. You’ll find the major differences and similarities between GroenLinks and other parties, down below.
